Web Design & Web Update Services
We design, code, and implement dynamic websites that include downloadable forms, invitation modules, storefronts, blogs, streaming videos, custom landing pages and targeted SEO content. Our sites are easily updatable by our clients and we even offer web update training. Whether you need a high-end website with a great deal of content or a website that will allow you to update your information frequently, we can provide a solution for you!
Website Development
Website technologies can be difficult to maintain across different browsers and various operating systems; a given web page may need to be programmed in several ways depending on what browser and hardware the customer is using to view it. Consequently, creating a Web 2.0 application that allows users to interact and collaborate with each other in social media dialogues such as social networks, blogs, wikis, and video sharing can be time-consuming and expensive. Dazium solves this problem by adhering to web standards, which allow various new technologies to look and feel the same in the most up-to-date browsers as well as older ones. We believe it's important the website we design satisfy savvy visitors and simultaneously serve the broadest possible viewing audience.
Check out the Hotel Frederick website! It’s a great example of a website that has interactive applications such as a survey, thumbnail pictures, and a feature that randomly displays positive comments from past hotel guests. Also, the owner maintains it himself and can easily post available jobs.
Web Deployment/Administration
When 50,000 people a day suddenly start visiting a website that is equipped to handle a few hundred, you have a fantastic problem. Still, you need a solution, and Dazium is on hand to help you handle your soaring business. As more and more customers visit your site, your web deployment must speed up.
Managing deployment can be challenging. From shared hosting to implementation of a mission-critical web application in the cloud equipped with server load-balancing and a content delivery network, we can help you with your needs.
We are familiar with a vast array of web codes and technical services, including but not limited to: Linux, RedHat Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, page caching, LAMP (Linux), Apache, MySQL, PHP, AWS (Amazon Web Services), and Amazon EC2 (Cloud services offered by AWS)
Smartphone Applications/Content Delivery
Smartphone Applications
When it comes to reaching out to contemporary customers, smartphone applications are a must. Some folks feel it is best to design apps for the iPhone exclusively, but we respectfully disagree. According to the most recent data from the Nielsen Company (the authority on what consumers buy and watch), only 28% of all smartphone users have iPhones, while Android and Blackberry users account for more than 44%!
Enter Dazium Design Solutions. For the price of developing a single iPhone application, we deliver a product that can run on the top three leading mobile devices, gaining you access to 60% more consumers than iPhone purists! Furthermore, our applications are built to run on various mobile platforms, whether it is a first generation iPhone or the latest Blackberry model. If you have more than one cellular device, we can even sync data across various phones and platforms so you are never without access to the information you need.
Content Delivery: from the Web to Smartphones
Using the most popular content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla, we seamlessly transfer existing information from your website to smartphones it in a way that is exciting and convenient for your users. Have a custom-made content solution? We can work with your existing codebase to create an interface that will interact with our mobile application.
Publishing FileMaker to the Web
Introducing FileMaker to the Web, a simple to use yet fully-configurable web application designed to publish your FileMaker database to the web. With just a few clicks, you can take any hosted database you have and easily publish it to the web. You don't have to stop there, however. At any time, you can edit its deployment configuration add custom field processing, set up search constraints, and edit any of the display templates to create a layout that's uniquely suited for the web browser. In addition, once you've published your FileMaker database to the web, you are given a data entry form template which can be used to create a custom search page or a page used to create or modify records in your FileMaker database.
Overview
Once you've installed the FileMaker to the Web application, you just need to tell the application where your FileMaker server is located. You can choose to use the default Guest account to access your fmphp-enabled database or create a user to access it instead. Next, go to the FileMaker web publishing wizard to get started adding any of your databases to the web. On Step 1 you'll select the database, layout, and FileMaker user with which to publish your content to the web. Next, you'll be able to configure the field settings such as its display name, field order for list display, and any custom field-level processing. Finally on Step 3, you'll be able to create data subsets by setting up a series of field-level search constraints. Click on the publish button and in just 3 steps you've got your FileMaker data published to the Web!
Field Processing
Field processing allows you to take the data retrieved from a particular field and customize it in some way. This can be as simple as creating a hyperlink from a URL or taking an address or zipcode and pinpointing its location inside a Google Maps window. And with FileMaker to the Web's plugin architecture, custom field processing programs can be written to process field data in any way desirable. Like to present files for your users to download without bloating the size of your FileMaker database? Store these files on the web server or a content delivery network and use field processing to make them available for download.
Security
FileMaker to the Web gives you the ability to restrict access to certain data or layouts in your FileMaker database. You can use the default Guest user to present only that information you want to be made available to the general public. To create data available only to specific users, first you'll need to configure your FileMaker database security settings to add users and custom permissions to certain layouts or fields. Then, you'll need to configure these users within FileMaker to the Web and associate them with one or more web user roles. Create web users and associate them with one of these roles to grant access to that FileMaker user. FileMaker layouts published with this FileMaker user will be accessible only to authenticated users associated with the specified role. In addition, passwords saved to the database are encrypted to ensure that they cannot be used to log into the FileMaker database by other means.
Templates
Templates are an easy way to customize the presentation of your FileMaker data on the web. Using HTML authoring tools you are familiar with, you can create layouts to match the look and feel of your site design.
